Kompas Geometric Arts was founded by Lisa Vermeulen, a full-time UK-based visual artist passionately engaged in creating geometric and biomorphic arabesque watercolour art.

This dynamic geometric art form has a long tradition and is ever evolving. It began occurring in the 9th century. It can be found in a large cultural region spanning three continents, and it is used decoratively to enhance walls of buildings, door, floors, etc.

The creation of a Kompas watercolour art pieces involves a lengthy process - partly depending on the level of detail in the final design. Some paintings take a day, others take several weeks of solid work.

Kompas Geometric Arts has been created to share my passion with you, to teach, and to showcase and sell my work. Click on the surrounding buttons to explore.
